ON JUNE 29, A CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 20-TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GERMAN-UKRAINIAN FORUM WAS HELD IN BERLIN02.07.2020
Online during the event the panel discussion was attended by a representative of Concern "Electron".
This event was supported by German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry (AHK Ukraine). The conference included panel discussions on the prospects for the development of Ukraine-EU dialogue, strengthening business ties between Ukrainian and German partners, as well as on the future.
More than 100 participants, including Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine - Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishina, representatives of Ukrainian and German business, and also representatives of Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy and other government agencies of Germany, took part in the event.
As Deputy Chairman of the Board Ivan Kuzovkin noted, Concern "Electron" has maintained close ties with German companies for 25 years. In 1996, "Electron” founded the first joint venture with "WEBASTO” company. Today the share in this enterprise belongs to the German division of the international Concern "VALEO”. The joint venture manufactures climate technology, climate control systems, components and spare parts. 70% of the products are exported to Germany, Hungary, USA and Baltic States. The transport company also imports some components from Germany for trams, trolleybuses and electric buses. We also work with such well-known German companies as Henschel, ZF, VEM, Hanning Kahl, Bosch.
In today's conditions, when the pandemic imposes new restrictions on movement around the world, production and supplies schedules between countries, in our opinion, cooperation between Ukraine and Germany may reach a completely different level. The proximity of the location, qualified personnel and historical economic ties can be the basis for the transfer of cooperation from China to Ukraine.
